McCoy Bolt developed and implemented in January 2004 a proprietary, full suspension fatigue-testing machine, which allows for cost effective testing of a full suspension and fastening system design concept.
McCoy has also designed and built a full suspension fatigue tester. This machine measures cycles and applied bolt load to determine the fatigue life of U-bolts and related components.
This testing capability can be a particularly useful tool for:
- Quick and low cost evaluations of early concept ideas
- Targeted loading conditions testing rig is easily modified to simulate a multitude of loading constraints
- Evaluating real time stress and strain on the U-bolt and related components
