The management and employees of McCoy Bolt Works are committed to an organized approach to continually improve the Quality Management System, so that we provide superior product and service to customers.
The objectives of this system are to produce the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time, at the lowest cost with zero defects.
McCoy Bolt Works, Inc. has established the following Quality Objectives to measure compliance with, and continually improve, our Quality Policy.
McCoy Bolts Works, Inc. received TS-16949 Certification in August 2006. McCoy was previously QS-9000 certified by a third party since 1997.
The Quality system begins with an established control plan for each family of part, or manufacturing operation. This control plan identifies each manufacturing operation in conjunction with a definition of the critical parameters of that operation, how they are to be controlled and tested, how often, and by whom. The control plan provides an overview of the entire Quality System.
The Quality System Manual contains detailed individual write-ups on every conceivable facet of the business, including each manufacturing operation, how new parts are to be entered into the system, and how to respond to any challenges that may arise after the sale.
Employees have built extraordinary stability into the McCoy Quality System. The company was a pioneer in establishing quality improvement teams by dividing the manufacturing plant into Continuous Improvement Groups. The purpose of these teams is to assure that ongoing improvement is occurring in their areas on an organized, strategic basis. Furthermore, management takes a hands on approach to continuous improvement with a team champion concept that allows each area to receive dedicated attention.
From increased productivity measured in pounds boxed per labor hour, to less scrap generated as a percentage of pounds boxed, the McCoy Quality System helps employees reach self-directed goals by allowing them to offer a product of unsurpassed quality to their customers.
