McCoy Bolt Works is located in a modern 44,000 square foot building on four acres of land in an attractive industrial park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The company features Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capability, which allows customers to communicate via computer. With the majority of major customers who utilize this important tool, McCoy produces to the customer's forecast and shipping schedules, on a just-in-time basis. To achieve the desired results, McCoy implemented a detailed daily production scheduling system that assures the movement of material through the plant on a timely basis.
Because of its orientation to the heavy vehicle industry, McCoy typically produces parts to standards established by the Society of Automotive Engineers (S.A.E.) using special bar quality steel grades modified to unique McCoy specifications.
